Hey, Team Wisconsin!

The time has come to kick into gear for the WI Supreme Court election this Spring! This is a really important race— the outcome will determine if the court keeps its liberal majority, guaranteeing more wins for voter protection, unions, and reproductive rights, or if the conservatives take over and do the opposite. AND, since WI has a Democratic governor and Republican Legislature, the state Supreme Court is particularly critical for determining the balance of power.

Judge Susan Crawford (the liberal candidate) has a fantastic track record of public service– for one, she’s represented Planned Parenthood of WI in court against attacks on reproductive health care. Learn more about her here.

For now, here’s what you can do:

• Write postcards with Postcards to Swing States! They’ll mail you the postcards, addresses, and instructions for free– all you have to do is buy stamps and send them out in mid-March. Postcarding is particularly effective in off-year elections like this one.

• Join the WisDems Voter Protection team on Tuesday, January 28th for their first meeting of 2025– this is the perfect way to launch your involvement and hear about what needs to be done.

I’ll send more opportunities as things continue to ramp up, but these are a great place to start!
