It’s no joke, today IS election day! A quick note from Ben Wikler of WisDems for the final push for this important election.

Polls open at 7am CT and close at 8pm CT today
If the margin of victory is large, the race could be called early (the AP called it for Janet Protasiewicz at 8:54pm in 2023). If it’s close, it could come down to absentee ballots in Milwaukee, which are likely heavily Democratic and might not be fully counted until midnight or later.
The early vote appears more favorable to Crawford than it was to Harris in 2024—which is good news for Crawford (although the GOP early vote has shot up relative to previous Wisconsin Supreme Court races).
As the newsletter WisPolitics noted, "liberal Dane and Milwaukee counties so far have accounted for a bigger share of the early vote in the spring race (31.9%) than they did in November (28.5%).
The conservative Trafalger Group released a poll today giving Crawford a slight lead, 51-49.
At his election bribery event last night, Musk gave out two $1 million checks. One of the two recipients? The head of the Wisconsin College Republicans.
In his continuing quest to make this election all about Musk, the world’s richest man also held a tele-town hall tonight. (Musk polling at -12 favorability in Wisconsin, the lowest of any major current national figure.)
The ad aired most by Schimel in the final week was about Trump's endorsement. Crawford's top spots were about crime, abortion, and her record, while WisDems ran an ad about "Kneepad Brad" Schimel and Musk. Republicans, apparently stung, have started tweeting #JustCallHimBrad.
