Hey, Team Wisconsin!
As some of you may know, Sen. Tammy Baldwin is facing a Republican challenger, who, I dare say, is a less than ideal candidate. Policy-wise, Eric Hovde supported the Dobbs decision, wants to repeal the Affordable Care Act, thinks single moms are the root of all evil, etc. Outside of politics, his bank is facing lawsuits for elder abuse and wrongful death in a nursing home (h/t Rogan’s List). Here are some things you can do to keep him out of office:
The WisDems and Grassroots Democrats are hosting phonebanks for Sen. Tammy Baldwin every Thursday and Saturday until the election. Get involved here.
You can write postcards for Tammy Baldwin (specifically focused on women’s rights) via Grassroots Democrats. You have to purchase your own postcards, but they provide some good suggestions for where to find them on the sign-up form.
Also, check out the WisDems’ upcoming Weekends of Action on September 7 and 14! Join other volunteers in this textbanking and phonebanking extravaganza targeting key voters and potential volunteer recruits. Sign up here to textbank on the 7th or here to phonebank on the 14th.
Thanks, all!
Jess
Here's something else you can do: if you know any Wisconsin voters who are currently living, studying, working, retired or deployed overseas, tell them to register and request their overseas absentee ballots at www.votefromabroad.org. While they are filling out their application, they can also join Democrats Abroad!
What do you know about canvassing in Wisconsin? I live in Massachusetts but wonder about a few days in Milwaukee to help the Harris-Walz campaign.
